4th MOBILITY - Tekirdağ (TURKEY)
Day 1
First day with our Turkish hosts
Today we visited Marmara Oratokulu, our Turkish partners' school. Their school opened in September for the first time, it's a new building. There are more than 800 students in the school. In some classes the students are 40! The headmaster gave a speech, than we saw a video on Tekirdag and Turkey. Then we introduced ourselves. And after that all the students played ice-breakers together to get to know each other better. We had lunch in the small canteen then we met a class and talked about our country and our school. School starts at 8:00 here, lunchbreak is an hour long, lessons are 40 minutes long and school finishes at 15:30 from Monday to Friday. Students wear a uniform, black trousers and a white top.
Second Day with our Turkish hosts and our European partners.
This morning all the children and teachers sang on the videos everybody had prepared. Then we danced on Turkish music particularly on a local traditional song called "Bride and groom". Then each country planted a tree outside the school.
After lunch we discovered the art of "Ebru" a traditional Turkish art. Have a look at the pictures.We also could watch a performance given by whirling dervishes.

Day 4
Third day with our Turkish hosts and our European partners.
Today we did a wonderful visit of Istanbul; Topkapi Palace, Aya Sophia Museum and the Blue Mosque. Then we visited the covered Bazaar and we also went on a tour on the Bosphorus between Europe and Asia.
Fourth day with our Turkish hosts and our European partners.
This morning we met the two most important education managers in the city and the region.
We had lunch at school. Then we visited three museums in Tekirdag and learnt a lot about the history of this region.
Tonight is the end of mobility party and tomorrow we're leaving at 5:30 local time (4:30 in France) to take the plane in Istanbul. Traffic jams are awful here so we must leave very early.
